"We must respect the referee's decision but we don't agree with it. In these conditions we could have played. The referee said to us that he had difficulty seeing both corners of the pitch and that it could be difficult for his assistants."
The fog effected Arsenal before its arrival at Anfield Stadium, as the squad's plane was diverted to Blackpool Airport due to the conditions in Liverpool.
The question now arises that with both teams participating in the FA Cup and Carling Cup, still needing to face each other in each, should one game's result count for two games?
A makeup date has yet to be determined for the Carling Cup match between the Premiership outfits.

There is some real talent amassing on this team offensively, as the combination of QB Matt Stafford, RB Jahvid Best, WR Calvin Johnson, and TE Brandon Pettigrew should put a bunch of points on the board if the offensive line can even remotely hold up. The questions really lie on defense, where it feels like DT Ndamukong Suh is going to be trying to stop opposing teams all by himself. This year should show some marked improvement in the Motor City.
