11/09/2008 - Shima Mie, Japan (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Ji-Yai Shin fired a five-under 67 Sunday to cruise to a six-stroke win at the Mizuno Classic.
Shin, who won the Women's British Open earlier this year, finished her second LGPA Tour title at 15-under-par 201.
Mayu Hattori posted a one-under 71 in the final round to take second place at minus-nine. Eun-A Lim carded his second straight two-under 70 to end alone in third at eight-under-par 208.
Il Mi Chung (69), Yun-Jye Wei (70) and Jee Young Lee (72) shared fourth place at minus-seven.
Shin posted a pair of early birdies to stretch her lead. After a birdie on the second, she converted another birdie at the third to move to 12-under.
After three straight pars, Shin eagled the par-five seventh at Kintetsu Kashikojima Country Club. For the week, Shin played the hole in four-under with an eagle and two birdies.
Shin cruised around the turn with five straight pars as Hattori fell back after moving within four of the lead. Shin moved to 15-under with a birdie at the 13th.
She tripped to a bogey on the 15th, her first bogey in 47 holes this week. Shin played the back nine first in the opening round and bogeyed the 12th. Between those bogeys, she collected 14 birdies and an eagle.
Shin posted her final birdie on the par-five 16th, as she birdied that hole all three days.
Hattori tried to make a run at Shin's lead, but was tripped up in the middle of her round. Hattori poured in three straight birdie chances from the fifth to move to 11-under.
She stumbled to a bogey on the ninth for the second round in a row. Hattori faltered to a double-bogey at the 12th to slide back to minus-eight. She recovered one shot with a birdie on 13th, but parred out to end six back.
Yuri Fudoh and Bo-Bae Song both closed with rounds of three-under 69 to end in a share of seventh at six-under-par 210. They were joined there by Allison Fouch and Miki Saiki, who both shot 70 on Sunday.
